To ensure proper installation, the surface should be clean, dry, smooth, and above 40°F. Any damaged or broken surfaces should be repaired or replaced, and chipped, cracked, or peeled paint should be removed from the surface. Waxed floors should be stripped prior to washing, and the appropriate cleaner or solvent should be used to clean the surface, as detailed in the brochure and user guide.

After preparing the surface, the protective liner should be peeled back about 50mm from one end, and the piece should be positioned on the surface. The remaining liner should then be removed, and the tread should be pressed firmly into place, starting in the middle and rolling out towards the edges using a rubber hand roller.
